   Five Stars for the tire – These are my second set of Hankook tires. Reasonable price, good handling. Far too new to know anything about how long they will last, but they are far better than the ones that they replace.One Star for the Tire Store that did the mounting – One of the biggest hassles of buying tires online is finding a decent tire store that won’t discriminate against you when you go to have them mounted and balanced. To that end I jumped at the option of buying the tires online and scheduling a mounting service with a fixed out-the-door service charge. Silly me. I will not make that mistake again. Their price was a little high, but not overly so. At least that is what I thought when I place the order. But that was before I showed up for the appointment. Even though I had already paid Amazon for the mounting and balancing the “amazon associate” tire store managed to find an extra $40 of incidentals to charge for before they would return my car key. That put the cost of mounting and balancing roughly twice as high as the next best local alternative. Keep in mind that had I not watched them like a hawk they would have also charged for non-scheduled items such as alignment, 28 point worthless “safety” checks, and on and on. Had I not demanded “just mount the tires, please”, I have no idea how high the bill would have been.Safety First, do not go to this tire mounting service.

   Not my first time ordering this type of tyres and I think I will stick with what works because they last so long.I live where the roads aren’t so great but having tyres that last two years without ever having a flat is a plus for me. Great quality, good buy and less noise in the car.

   I got this size: HANKOOK VENTUS V2 CONCEPT 2 H457 4 Ply Radial Tire-215/55R16 97VIt’s directional. It was for a replacement spare, so I won’t run it very much (hopefully never!) but once mounted, will technically be correct only if I get a flat on one side of the car. If you get a set of 4 it limits your options for rotation once mounted. Channels are VERY wide – i.e. less road contact and faster wear, but again, it’s for a spare. On the bright side, I ordered in mid July 2022, and the DOT code is late May 2022, so it’s fresh! replacing a spare i noticed that was 17 years old, yikes.

   Hard to beat this price on a huge name brand with the quality! They outlasted the BF Goodrichs that were on the rear. Should have gotten Lal four from the get go

   Put this tire on the rear of my 2013 HD Street Glide and will never mount another bike tire. This thing has gone across the US loaded to the gills more than once as well as a lot of commuting miles. It’s stable and predictable in all weather conditions and temperatures. This is the second one I’ve purchased btw. Installed myself with 5oz of balance beads and it runs like a dream.*note* you will have to figure out the pressure that works for your situation. Once it’s dialed in, it’s money.
