In this review, I will discuss three products that I have first hand experience in using. This review is to help anyone who wants to preserve their vehicle(s)’ paint finish. The products I will list in order are: 1) Shine Armor 2) Mothers CMC Ceramic Spray coating 3) Zymol Cleaner Wax.First, I gave Shine Armor 3 Stars due to the faulty trigger sprayer and the 8 Fl. Oz bottle and the priceI ordered 2 bottles of Shine Armor. Both bottles came with faulty spray triggers. You cannot squeeze the trigger without breaking it. I looked for some type of locking mechanism to prevent the sprayer from accidentally releasing the contents. No locking mechanism…You will need to get a 16 Fl. Oz. Bottle with a spray trigger and pour the Shine Armor into the spray bottle. You can easily pour 2 bottles of Shine Armor into 1 spray bottle.Keep the empty Shine Armor Bottle(s) for reference to the instructions.Shake the bottle well to be sure all ingredients mix thoroughly as with any type of liquid wax, etc..Following the instructions, precisely, I added 2 coats of Shine Armor to the passenger side of my 2003 Lincoln Navigator’s hood. With each coat, I sprayed a mist directly onto a damp microfiber cloth and sprayed a mist directly onto the passenger half of the hood. Each coat I massaged into the paint and then buffed with a clean, dry microfiber cloth, NOT allowing it to dry as the instructions clearly state. On the driver’s side (half) of the hood I used Mothers CMC Ceramic Spray Coating that comes in a 24 Fl. Oz. spray bottle with working trigger. I applied 2 coats.Shake the bottle well to be sure all ingredients mix thoroughly as with any type of liquid wax, etc..As the instructions state, I sprayed the liquid onto a clean, dry microfiber cloth and massaged the liquid into the paint until it “DISAPPEARS” allowing a few minutes for it to “BOND” to the paint surface.NOTE: The Mothers instructions state to work the liquid into the paint until it “disappears,” then wait a few minutes for it to “bond” to the surface before using a separate, clean and dry microfiber cloth to thoroughly buff.Comparing the results of the two products I could not feel any difference in the “Slick Test” using my fingernails. Both products did a very good job as you can see in the photos.Yes. The Shine Armor is purple and does have a “grape” scent as another reviewer mentioned. Both products were easy to use and easy to remove. As for longevity… that remains to be seen which product will last longer as I just completed the applications before writing this review. As for “water beading,” fortunately there is rain in our forecast for this afternoon that will allow to me to see real world results.Pricing: For the price of 1 bottle of Shine Armor (8 Fl. Oz.) you can buy 1 bottle of Mothers CMC Ceramic Spray Coating (24 Fl. Oz.) and have three times the amount of product as compared to Shine Armor.Zymol: I have been using this product ever since I purchased my Lincoln Navigator new in 2003. As you can see in the photos the paint still looks new.Yes! It is the original paint. However, I keep my Lincoln Navigator garaged when not driven. The first two years of the Navigator’s life was spent under a breathable car cover, parked outside. Although not as good as an enclosed garage or even under a carport, the car cover did offer protection against bird droppings, etc.. The car cover gave some protection against the sun’s UV Rays. The Navigator’s painted surfaces (with exception of the hood just tested for the review) have all had Zymol Cleaner Wax applied all these years. The Zymol Cleaner was is not only a mild cleaner but is also a paint moisturizer. Zymol has ALL natural ingredients such as Aloe Vera and Walnut meal. (Walnut meal is the mild cleaner for removing scratches, etc..)The other photos were taken of my 2011 Ford Taurus (bought new – always garaged when not driven). All paint surfaces have had nothing but Zymol applied.I personally recommend Zymol to maintain the paint and would use Shine Armor or Mothers CMC Ceramic Spray Coating for in between waxing to extend the life of the wax job.I hope this review helps.

I’m fully aware it isn’t a replacement for an actual full detail of a paint job. But for a quick clean up, it works much better than any spray detailer I’ve used. It leaves a good shine, very easy to use, removes most waterspots. I had to clean up one of the race trucks in the shop rather quickly, the body was covered in dust, then rained on, and then dried. Instead of pulling the body off and washing it, I tried this product. About a 2 hour job turned into a 30 minute one. I tried multiple different cleaners before this and they all looked terrible. This body is pretty beat up and scratched but Shine armor made it look as good as it possibly could in the time frame and it will be off tomorrow to prerun the baja 1000 looking good! Thank you Fortify for making an amazing product. I will stock up on this stuff if we can buy it in bulk for all of the race trucks now!

I love how the car feels after putting this on! It feels extremely smooth and shines super well!! Even after multiple rain storms, the water beaded up and off the car and no water spots! Extremely easy to put on and easy to buff so there are no smudges or swirl marks. My car is a super dark blue so you can see every scratch, dent, and gouge. This stuff made the scratches so smooth you can’t feel them. As long as no direct light hits the scratches, you don’t see them, but when the sun shines right on them, you can see them again. Also, for any deep scratches that go beyond the paint, this stuff won’t help at all other than to put a coating on the scratch so water doesn’t get to them. It only helps to put a clear coat on the car but actually doesn’t fill in any scratches or smudges.

If you are leaving a bad review based on the product you’re not using it right.. shipping or otherwise I understand but this stuff is amazing. I get compliments on my vehicle constantly. I take a dry microfiber cloth spray the vehicle in one spot because it’s going to disperse quickly, let it disperse until you almost can’t see it and then buff it to a shine with the cloth you were using.. that’s how I do it and it is amazing. Two or three days later to keep the shine going I will dust off the car with a dry microfiber towel and then use the shine armor and spray it into an unused microfiber towel and buff the car with that.. flipping it over from the dry side to the wet back and forth wiping continuously just as if you were waxing it. If you are putting this on your car when it is Dusty or dirty it’s not going to work. I don’t understand how this would have bad reviews so my only guess is that somebody is not using it right. This is the only thing I use on my car and it works wonders. I even use it on the plastic parts at the bottom of the vehicle. Occasionally I will wipe my windows with it but you have to be very careful with doing that and wipe them really really good dry or it will streak really bad. I highly recommend this stuff I can’t believe it has any bad reviews.

I have used waterless products to clean and shine my vehicles almost every day. I just received the Shine Armor spray and tried it out on both vehicles today. On the negative side, it did not really remove the imperfections that you can feel with your fingers, which I was hoping for. The cars had two days of dust and road grime when I began cleaning them. On the positive side, the shine was very mirror-like. I even tried it on “plastics”, windows/glass and the wheels. I was surprised how well those look now. I would say a noticeable improvement over waterless car wash and wax products. How this finish holds up after a couple of days driving is yet to be determined. In retrospect I probably need a clay bar and classic cleaner/polish/wax job to start with the desired smooth surface before applying. As a side note, it only took about 30 minutes per vehicle from state to finish,
