I love this stuff. I recently purchased a car in June 2017. I wish I would have found this the day I purchased my car because it would have made my summer so much easier. I have a black vehicle and if a leaf touches it, it scratches the paint. I spent the entire summer pretty much doing nothing but detailing and going insane trying to get rid of blemishes and scratches. Towards the beginning of fall I knew I wanted one last really good detailing job before the winter. I knew a regular wax wasn’t going to last all season so I had to find something different. I happened upon this product and purchased a small bottle of it because I just wasn’t sure if it would really work. It is so easy to put on and it’s so easy to take off, I just did both by hand. It made my car so shiny that even the resident car guy at my job was impressed and now wants to buy some. It’s been about 2 months and it’s still going strong. I’m telling you bugs(freaking dirtbag bugs) don’t even stand a chance because they hit my car and just slide right the hell off☠Since it’s getting so much colder I’ve just been going to touchless car washes about once a week. The water still beads off and it almost looks like I’ve just gotten done hand washing it. Sap, which is the bane of my existence, comes right off, no problem. And a little goes a long, long way. I purchased a 4 oz bottle and I will easily be able to do my car 5 times with it, if not more. I have a Nissan Juke so it’s not a huge car, but you get the idea.I will absolutely be purchasing this product again when I run out. Honestly one of the best things I’ve found.Update- First of all, I ended up purchasing the big bottle of this so I can have it… forever. We are well into winter now and the sealant is still holding up really well. We had a couple of nice days here and there so I have been able to get out and hand wash a few times. I was able to apply some more sealant a couple days ago to take me through the rest of the winter and into the spring. I honestly probably didn’t really have to, the water was still beading off, but wth right? I would like to add here that there are a lot of people that say you absolutely have to clay bar, compound and polish your vehicle before applying the sealant or that you have to strip off all the old wax or sealant before reapplying. In theory, yes you should absolutely do all those things, however if your car is already in pretty good shape and it’s the middle of February and you just want to make your car shiny for the rest of the season then by all means just wash the thing, put the sealant on and trust me no matter what it’s going to look a hundred percent better than it did before applying the Jetseal. It doesn’t always have to be a 10-hour ordeal. This stuff is so easy to use honestly it’s foolproof.

I have read a couple negative reviews on this and thought I would chime in as I have been using JetSeal for several years and swear by it. Some of the claims are that it does not last. I have no idea how they applied it to get that result, but can attest that my son-in laws black truck, that I clay barred, black light polished and finished with 2 coats of JetSeal has lasted a year and a half and the water is still beading up. (Black light is a chemical guys product for dark paints and is awesome).I would wager that previous reviewers did not use a strip soap, or even Dawn to get off any previous car wash waxes, etc. before applying JetSeal and hence the reason they had a bad experience. If you are going to seal your car, do a strip wash to get any old wax or sealer off, then polish if you need to remove scratches, then seal. It is a process, but when done correctly, will create a very lasting finish.I can back up the 12 month claims on this product as I have experienced it first hand on multiple vehicles and now our kids are adults, they also swear by it. BUT…. They prep the surfaces properly to ensure the success of the sealant. –I have even used it on my wife’s BMW rims when they were off the car for her winter tires (when we lived in the cold) and it kept those rims clean until the next season. But, again, I prepped the surface to strip any waxes and sealants and I used 2 coats.

I ordered the jet seal and Pete’s 53 wax kit. I received Black light seal and wax kit for dark vehicles. My truck is dark grey and so I used it and it is great. Makes the truck look like their is a coat of water allways on it. I would recommend Chemical Guys for any wax and shine product. They have a great formula.

I have a 2014 MB E550 Cabriolet and have hand waxed it with Chemical Guys Butter Wet Wax in the past and it came out just OK. Then, I bought a Avid DA polisher for $80 (the best $80 I ever spent!), and Jet Seal and Wet Mirror. I followed the instructions applying the Wet Mirror first, then the Jet Seal, then the Butter Wet Wax. The results were ASTOUNDING. Not only does the finish look brand new, but last night we got caught in a rainstorm and this morning it still looks like I just finish polishing it. Take a look at the photo of it in the garage this morning with absolutely no contact with the finish at all.

This is some of the most tenacious stuff I’ve ever used as a paint sealant. This is good because I have to park outside and was hoping to find something with longevity. Although it easy to put on, it does take some work to get it off so keep that in mind. But I suppose that’s part of the trade off for something that lasts so long. Shine is also very good if that’s important to you (secondary to me). Highly recommended.
