I tried two other paint pens before this and those left streaks/dark spots and would crack and flake off during driving. The paint on these pens have a chalky texture that when tried, it will adjust to any bending in the tires. The flow of the paint was good and application was easier than other pens. You do have to watch out because it sometimes overflows if you press down to hard. And the amazing thing is the waterproofness, when hit with water from a hose, the paint withstands it and doesn’t come off. But I did find that when hit with a power washer, it will come off. This is good and bad. Good because if you change your mind or mess up, it is not permanent and you can blast it off. Bad because if you were looking for a permanent solution, eventually the paint will wear off. Overall, I am satisfied with the paint pen and it looks great on my Hankooks for my DeLorean!

They look very nice but, there’s 2 problems, to get the easiest results you have to remove the tires from the vehicle and the second problem is that the paint turns brown. And yes, I took off my wheels to do this, I didn’t drive my car for a week, I also clean thoroughly the tires to try to get the best results.

only 2 tires took me 4 hours, in small parts it is very difficult, because of the fat tip, and that my logos are in low relief. It is necessary to give 2 or 3 coats, letting dry between each one.

The pen is easy to use on raised tire letters but not on ribbed letters. The blunt tip does not allow paint to fill in the corners of small letters. The paint has the same viscosity as milk so ensure you remove the tire and lay it flat or else you may risk runs from the thin paint. Now, the paint is very bright white and only required two coats for my tires. Shake the pen for at least one full minute before use for a consistent layer of coverage. I let the paint cure overnight before driving with the new paint. Prior to application, I cleaned my wheels with decreaser and acetone and still got flaking and separation from driving less than five miles. I touched up the paint and still had chipping and separation again. The tires are only two years old but has had their fair share of tire dressings before using this product. I read others have had success with this product but sadly I did not.

I was skeptical based off of some of the reviews, but the pens arrived quickly. I followed the directions and it was easy to apply and looks pretty good. Not sure yet how long it will last but happy so far.

paint pens weren’t bad i would spend good amount of time on prep work but turned out pretty good with 3 coats took me maybe an hour a tire and 1 tire was about a pen in a half maybe

I’ve used sharpie paint pens in the past with good results, it decided to try actual tire paint pens this time. Cleaned the tires thoroughly before hand and went to work painting the lettering. After a few days, the white started to turn brown and some of it flaked off. I guess I’ll have to try a second coat to see if it’ll stay white this time. And no, no off-roading or tire shine was applied.
