Yeah, it’s not if you are going to curb your wheels. It’s when. I started with a dremel tool and sanding drums just to speed up the rough process and did finishing work with this kit. The sanding block shape is well thought out and the process went well. The paint is a great match and after a few coats you can’t really see it anymore unless you are looking for it. Don’t expect to restore it to pre-damage condition. You can get it close enough though..

The color is close but the gloss is wrong. Wheel is more matte and this product is way to shiny. At this price point, it should be a better match. I would not recommend this and will be trying to find a better option.

If you are a Tesla driver, rim rash is almost guarunteed. This works well as long as you are somewhat handy. You need to properly prep the area BEFORE using this product. Sand thoroughly. Also, you need to blend and shade the paint correctly.

This is an excellent and complete kit to repair curb damaged MYP 21” Uberturbine wheels. I accidentally hit a drive through curb that caused the major curb damage shown in pic 1. I carefully sanded the damaged wheel, but couldn’t sand far enough to remove all of the gouges, as that would have flattened the edge of the wheel too much. I carefully painted several coats on the affected part of the rim, keeping the paint only on the sanded area. When dry, the paint color and finish was a great match, see pic 2. You can still see some of the deep gouges but they aren’t that noticeable to the naked eye, the camera makes it look worse. The repair will never look as perfect as an undamaged rim, but it looks much much better than before the repair. If you curb damage your wheel, try this repair kit, it’s much cheaper than going to a professional.

It works but you have to take your time. Seriously, don’t go fast!I would also recomment putting a painters tape or something protective directly under the area you are sanding so you don’t accidentally scratch part of the rim that is ok. I did that just a bit before I realized it.Other than that it’s a great cheap option, if you don’t want to pay to have your rims refinished and you like to DIY.
