Appears to be a good product. The main reason I selected this unit is because it uses the AAA type batteries. I’ve had various electronic units but they use the Watch and or Button type batteries that are harder to replace and more costly. When compared with other pressure measuring units it is very accurate. The only issue I have is it Auto-Shuts off very fast, something like after only 30 seconds which is annoying, you constantly have to turn it back on but I think most all units do this. It seems like it should be made to stay on more like two minutes. Especially with this unit using the AAA batteries that are easily replaceable or maybe at least have the option for a longer shut off time.

Don’t know whether it is accurate, only have my vehicles on-board tire pressure monitors to compare, and haven’t made the comparison yet. I had two similar gauges previously and both ended up in the trash because the plastic tip that presses against the tire valve either broke or pushed back into the housing to prevent a pressure reading. Saw that the AstroAl gauge had a metal tip so I purchased. I also liked the fact that the batteries could be easily replaced. The light also is a great feature. Hopefully, the gauge will last long enough to run the batteries down a few times. On the downside, the rubber like button that turns the gauge on fell out as I was removing the plastic film that the gauge was wrapped in. I put it back in place but this could be a problem in the future.

I really like that the air pressure gauge uses replaceable AAA batteries. The gauge display is well lit and the light illuminating the nozzle is helpful in a dark area. When comparing the gauge to my other air pressure gauges it is accurate to 1 psi or better. The only feature that could be improved is that the on-off button is tiny. Making it a little larger and a different color from the device’s case would be an improvement. I do find the angle of the pressure inlet to be hard to use at times. Getting the angle just right when taking a reading sometimes causes air to leak until you get the nozzle properly centered. It depends on where the particular tire valve location is that you are taking the pressure reading and if there is any access obstruction. In some cases a straight angle would work better and in other cases a 90 degree angle would be better. I guess the 45 degree angle is a compromise. It just depends on how well you can center the device’s nozzle.

Pros:* Illuminated display and nozzle-facing light make it easy to use and read.* AAA batteries are much easier to replace than watch batteries.* Display shows pressure to the nearest 0.1 PSI (all others I’ve used only show to the nearest 0.5 PSI)* Comfortable grip fits in your hand and makes pushing onto tire valve stem easy.Cons:* Can’t think of any. Remember – I bought 4. I really like them!!!

The Accutire gauge I had for a dozen years stopped working. This one was reccomended by some sites and was cheap. It seats far more consistently than the Accutire which often took multiple attempts and has a super convenient light on it. I have found it to have very consistent readings and be spot-on compared to the bulky reference gauge I used for motorcycle racing. The AAA batteries are super convenient- I bought a 10 pack of these odd little coin cell batteries to fix my Accutire gauge only to discover that 3 new batteries didnt fix it now I’m left with a stack of hazardous refuse I’ll never use

This is a very nice gauge that has proven to be very accurate and easy to use. It turns on when you press the button on the handle and lights up the valve stem you are measuring the pressure. It holds the reading until another measurement is made, or shuts off after 30 to 40 seconds to preserve the batteries. The type of batteries it uses is the best part of this gauge. It uses AAA batteries, not those button type that most other gauges use. This makes it very easy to replace the batteries after they lose their charge.I have purchased a couple of the other type gauges that use the button batteries but bought this for our grandson to use in his first car, and he said he really liked it.I would definitely buy this again and recommend it to anyone.

This is my go-to tire pressure gauge that I keep in my garage for quick access. Press the button in the trigger area and it’s on, even with a tiny light that makes it easy to find the valve if you’re down on the ground in the dark. The reading stays on long enough so you don’t miss it and the unit will auto shut-down if you’ve stopped using it for a time.I use it on my bike, motorcycle, and vehicle. It’s accurate too as compared to my TPMS units on cycle and vehicle and compared to the BJ’s air pump. Very portable and I haven’t had a need to change the battery yet after almost a year.

Had trouble getting cover to snap shut over batteries but was finally able to snap it shut. It seemed to work fine. I am in a wheelchair and bought it to keep check on my tires. However for me it is very had to push down hard enough. I was letting more air out than just checking. I will have to return it because it is too hard for me to push down. So if you can push it down and hold for three seconds it should work fine for you.
