In case you are trying to compare this gun with the HF offerings, I have their HVLP gun costing about 30 dollars more than this one. There is no comparison in performance between the two. This TCP Global gun comes with a regulator to attach directly to the gun, which honestly I didn’t think I would like, but it works great and is not in the way.The spray pattern and atomization achieved with the TCP gun is far superior also. Most of what I spray is shellac, varnish and lacquer, but occasionally will spray oil based paint. The light coatings are a pleasure to spray, and cover evenly and quickly without orange peel or runs.I’m sure there are better guns, but for this price point, I would buy this one again in a heart beat.

I tried to use this the Regulator knob flew off and fell apart, the gun works but the Regulator is Junk. Can you send me a new Regulatir? Must have just been a bad one from the Factory?can you send me a regulator?

Finishing a credenza for my daughter, and being a professional commercial painter in my former life (I’m retired) I knew how to use a HVLP gun. Although my 1st time using a gravity feed cup, it exceeded my expectations. I used a thinned oil base semi-gloss and top coated with a gloss poly urethane. Both products were easy to apply. With material and pressure adjustments, I achieved the fan and finish I was looking for. The regulator that was included with the kit is a piece of junk and I didn’t use it….or need it. I made all air adjustments at the gun. For the money, a great tool. I cannot speak for the longevity of the gun but using it several days in a row and then again a week later, no hiccups. I did however clean the equipment throughly after every use. That is the ticket to a hassle free operation of the Equipment .

The gun was awesome but when I wiped of the regulator glass it melted. Now I can’t see the pressure on the air.

I had great hopes for this and have given it every chance to succeed. First, clean gun and parts, it had machining particles in it, looks like brass. Followed instructions completely. Intended use was for primer and paint on cabinets. Note, I also bought the 2.0 mm and 2.5 mm tips for greater flexibility with materials. The 1.4 mm tip will not even spray water or paint wash cleaner. The 2.0 mm was useless also. With the 2.5 mm I did get some spray with half water and half primer, but at that mix rate the primer is ruined and will not perform for coverage or longevity. Air power is not a problem, I have plenty with a 3HP pump keeping the tank at 125 psi with 7.7 SCFM. Used the air regulator to control pressure as directed with BAR set at all steps from 2.0 to 4.0. With the 2.5 mm tip, half water and primer at 3.5 BAR, I did spray a 2×4′ panel in 5 minutes with a light coverage. Pattern is either a spot or fog where nothing hits the surface. I have to question the authenticity of the positive reviews. Primers used were brand names K and S-W, you know the names. Neither will work with 50% water. With 3 adjustments on the gun, you would think some setting would work as described, not so. I also filtered the paint with the TCP 190 filter into the paint cup. Tried the gun with the little internal filter in place and with it removed just to get it to work, no good. Returning to Amazon, sorry Amazon, but this is just not an acceptable product.

After two uses, which worked great, then screw that holds needle on lever fell out, so did felt gaskets. There went the paint. Then cheap locking washer that holds lever on fell off. Was so upset. Now I am behind and have to start all over on this job. NOT HAPPY
