Got these for a friend as a gift and let me tell you the traction so good on these tires that they made my friend flip his raptor lol

I had always heard good things about these tires, but they were never in my area for purchase. There’s not much ‘flex’ in the tires while riding in rough terrain, but I already knew this was the nature of 6 ply or higher tires..as they’re made to be more puncture resistance. The only thing I had an issue with was seating the beads on the rim. It was a typical 10″ steel rim on a 250 Yamaha, & it took me 4 tries to seat them. Once on (and the rear ones) I took it through a typical ride in the woods..ditches, mud, trails w/loose debris/rocks, sand etc. I had doubts at first looking at the tread, but looks can indeed be deceiving. They’re quite awesome tires, & I would get them again & again!

I love how nubby these tires are but when it came to setting the bead a tire shop couldn’t even set it.

I bought these for a mini-bike, and as mentioned in the title, they get excellent traction. But there’s a definite downside, and that is the manufacturing process. I have a number of years in the automotive tire service industry installing tires, and maybe more relevant to this review, balancing them. When I put these tires on my bike, at around 20 MPH there was a nasty vibration in the front end, so I decided to see if they were out of balance. Normally ATV tires don’t have enough mass to be out of balance enough to noticed, but this tire was off by over 2 ounces, which is crazy for a tire this small. I didn’t have quite 2 ounces of weights, so I balanced it as best as I could, and it definitely reduced vibration, but it wasn’t quite enough and it still vibrates a little.SUN-F definitely needs to review their quality control. A tire this small should never be that far out of balance. As I said, these tires are probably some of the best tires available when it comes to traction, but if you buy them, be prepared for a quite a bit of vibration unless you balance them. You balance these tires like you would balance a motorcycle tire. Do a search on YT for videos on how to do that.

Traded these over from stock coleman tires…definitely grip turf and dirt 100% better. Able to take sharper corners in loose stuff without side slide….climbs well on loose hills, no spinning….not too bad on the road-which I only ride on to get to the dirt. If I was just riding on pavement-Id skip them, I think they’d wear away quick on pavement.
