I don’t usually write reviews but when my gauge wasn’t working after a year I contacted them directly as Amazon suggests, they have a support site thats a form, fill the usual- name, email, problem. I briefly explained that I hadn’t used the product much and that I expected it to work still. I submitted and form, I wasn’t sure what to expect if anything.Whenever I opened up my inbox again that evening or the following day Tiretek had reached out to me – friendly and to the point – they requested the order# (I assume to verify the purchase) and my shipping address. I gave it to them. The next reply from Tiretek was an acknowledgement / confirmation of order and that they’ll ship one right away. I want also acknowledge how friendly the staff was via e-mail too. Polite & concise. They did not ask me to do a survey, we did not go out for beers. Tiretek politely, and efficiently, resolved my issue a year outside of purchase. And that’s the factsI’m not a bot and I get nothing for my reviewThank you tiretek

I chose this tire pressure gauge solely based on the high number of positive reviews. I’m not disappointed I did. The rubber tire cover is easily removed but after trying it both ways I like it with the rubber on as it is easier to hold on to. The pressure seems to be accurate compared to my vehicle’s TPMS and the unit does a decent job holding the last recorded pressure long enough to pull it away from the tire and look at it. Big hash marks in one by one increments are easy to read. I gave it four stars for ease of use because the angle of the part that goes over the valve stem is a little weird to get used to. I will say once you get it on it doesn’t bleed air while trying to read the pressure. I bought two at the same time and will buy this unit again.

A nice tool to diagnose my malfunctioning built-in electronic tire pressure indicators. I checked its pressure readout against the pressure setting on the pump at a gas station. Both were at 32 psi. Assuming the pressures of the pump at the gas station were well calibrated, then the pressure readings of this gauge were accurate. My major reason for choosing this gauge to buy was its large pressure markings on the face of the gauge – it’s so easy to read. I prefer a mechanical tire pressure gauge over one with an electronic readout, as the latter has one more thing which could fail, namely its electronic readout.

What do you do with a pressure gauge that reads 5 psi off? Throw it away. In comparison with my compressed air tire pressure gauge and my corvette’s computer tire readout, this item is untrustworthy. It consistently read 5 psi over the two comparisons.First, TireTek service is great. They reached out and offered to replace or refund my order. I chose a replacement and couldn’t be happier. All the features I liked originally, and the replacement is very accurate. So, five stars.

When I originally received this tire gauge and attempted to use it I experienced a problem in getting an accurate reading of my tire pressure! Subsequently, the problem was reported to the seller.( Tire-Tek ) They immediately addressed my problem and graciously resolved it! The new tire pressure gauge works as expected and I highly recommend it! I do recommend when using it as with any similar types of gauges to hold the rubber part in the palm of your hand and put your index finger on the rounded part of the nozzle and press firmly against the tire valve! Thanks Tire-Tek for the great service!

Pros: – Easy to read dial – Ability to release air down to the pressure you need without removing the gauge from the tire valve.Reason for not getting 5 stars:I have actually purchased two of these. I thought I lost the first one, so I bought a second one. Then found the first one. I noticed that there is a 1 psi difference between the readings of the first one and second one. Given all the precision that I would have expected them to put into these (so much so that they require the rubber bumper around the case), I would expect the readings from two of the same gauges to be almost exactly (e.g., less than 1% different) the same. This makes me question just how accurate they are.

The gauge has large, easy to read black and white numbers. However, because the gauge head is at an angle, it hits the wheel rim in some instances and releases air from the tire unless you turn the gauge over, with the face away from you. If the gauge end were straight instead of at an angle, this would not happen, but would require a manufacture’s design change to accomplish.

This gauge seems to be about 1 or maybe 2 pounds off…depending on the time….of course, the difficulty is telling whether the measurement from this gauge is correct or the pressure put in by the tire store…..but, overall the gauge seems well made, the pressure relief works well and it is fairly priced.
